Rational Drug Design

Rational Drug Design is a powerful tool for the optimization of small molecule drug candidates. It couples information about protein structure and mechanism to improve the complementarities and properties of small molecule modifiers (drug candidates). It requires information about the structure of the target protein. Thousands of protein structures are know and are available to the public.

Rebexsess provides a deep understanding of the details and nuances of the Rational Drug Design process and an appreciation of the synthetic chemistry methods required to prepare new molecules. The evaluation of new ligands uses a coupling of computational methods, careful analysis of computational results and our knowledge of the principles of protein-ligand molecular recognition.

Rebexsess can provide overall oversight and management of the Structure Based Drug Design Process. In collaboration with partners, we can assist with obtaining additional crystal structures of key ligands with their protein partner as well as the synthesis of new ligands.
